Tessa Caballero Participates in Collegiate Honor Choir

Tessa Caballero of Austin was selected to perform with a collegiate honor choir at the biennial conference of the Southwest Division of the American Choral Directors Association (SWACDA), held February 29 - March 3 in Dallas, Texas. Caballero, a alto, is a sophomore at Hendrix College. She was one of seven members from the College who participated.

At the conference, the Hendrix Choir members joined singers from throughout the region (Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas) to form a chorus that performed under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Boers, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Washington in Seattle. The concert program included music by James McMillan, Eric Barnum, Ethan Sperry, William Averitt, and PÄ“teris Vasks.
